Anjali Southward grew up in New Jersey and received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her MBA from Columbia Business School. While at Stanford, Anjali rowed with Stanford Women’s Crew team in 2 NCAA Division I championships, US Rowing Nationals, Royal Canadian Henley, and Head of the Charles. More recently, she has enjoyed triathlons, open water and US Masters swimming, and yoga.
Caroline Geiger grew up in New Jersey and received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University. She moved back to the East Coast after college and earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. She was a recreational exerciser and recreation-league athlete until discovering her passion for group fitness while working as a lawyer in NYC. That passion has turned her into a distance cyclist, runner, triathlete, and running coach with group fitness instruction and fitness nutrition certifications from ACE, Schwinn, and Mad Dogg. She coaches young professionals seeking support in building fitness into their lifestyles and consults with fitness professionals and “influencers” on branding and business growth.
Caroline and Anjali founded groupie on the belief that a social approach to fitness is the key to a fun and sustainable healthy lifestyle.
